Turtlez Ltd is a software development company based in the UK, specialising in the design of desktop marketing tools and information distribution applications, including desktop characters, desktop agents and desktop news tickers and alerts.
Since the company was founded in 2001, Turtlez have amassed a impressive client base including the BBC, Channel 4, the Football Association and Universal Pictures.
One of Turtlez' earliest and best known products was Mini Motty. Developed in partnership with BBC Sport, this product was timed to coincide with the 2002 World Cup.
"Motty" was an animated caricature of John Motson which delivered up-to-the-minute football news and results directly to the end user's desktop. Motty was a spectacular success with over 500,000 installs within the first 3 weeks of his launch.
That year, Turtlez won a Big Chip Award for best design for Motty.
Since then, Turtlez has vastly expanded their portfolio, producing desktop characters, agents, news tickers, corporate messaging tools, reminder systems, virtual pets and desktop news alerts for dozens of clients.
Over time, Turtlez’ product base has expanded and evolved and now, in addition to core product offerings, Turtlez offers a outsourcing and bespoke development service in the creation of desktop, online and associated applications.
Turtlez' philosophy since our foundation has been to satisfy our clients by delivering high quality, robust products in a timely fashion. We do not believe in tying our clients into complicated or expensive licensing arrangements. We have the best artists and animators, and develop our software to the highest standards of coding quality.
Most importantly we give you, the client, exactly what you want!
