About | DirectorsChris Bedford-GayManaging Director / Developer Chris began his career over 10 years ago working as a developer on a years placement for pharmaceutical company Glaxo Smithkine (or Smithkline Beecham as it was back then). Following that he graduated university with a 1st in Computing for Business and began working at the Defence Evaluation Research Agency in Malvern on top secret defence projects. A move to Manchester saw Chris introduced to games and desktop application development at Friendly Giants in Bollington. Unfortunately Friendly Giants ceased to exist in 2001 and at the request of the BBC Chris and his business partner Steve started Turtlez Ltd with the development of Mini Motty. Some 9 years later Chris remains MD of Turtlez and continues to cut his teeth on new development projects whenever possible. His technical skills include: C++, C#, ASP.Net, PHP, MySQL, MSSQL, CSS, Window Application Development, Window Servers, Drupal Development, and Javascript. Steve HughesTechnical Director / Developer Steve is a happy-go-lucky chap with a background in games development and is one of the most skilled developers Chris has ever known. ColleaguesPeterAccounts The Turtlez accountant, what more is there to say? Peter handles the day to day accounts, invoicing and tracking of bill payments. He also produces Turtlez end of year accounts, and manages any PAYE and VAT issues. JulianWeb & Logo Design Julian produces web related work for a mixture of Turtlez clients (individuals, businesses or organisations) and design or marketing agencies (mostly business and organistion related output). Julian has a strong reputation for integrity, meeting deadlines, etc. that he works hard to maintain. MattFlash Development Matt is an experienced developer with over 8 years professional Flash development experience. AlanDatabases / PHP Alan is Turtlez go to guy for all database related work. He has many years of experience designing and developing new databases to support systems but can also turn his hand to deciphering existing poorly documented database designs and systems. AndrewXML / Simulations Andrew is Turtlez lawyer in training. Taking time out with Turtlez after completing his law degree Andrew is responsible for the build of Skillsarena Ltd's online testing simulations (developed by Turtlez) ranging from Office 2003 - 2010. These simulations being for the purposes of online skills testing. Peter2IT Infrastructure Peter as well as managing Turtlez IT infrastructure also provides infrastructure consultancy services based on Microsoft and Citrix Server technologies. Peter strives to keep his skills up-to-date, with a regular programme of accreditation and training. The variety clients Peter is exposed to allows him to bring experiences to bear on clients' projects that are not available internally. Peter works closely with clients' own IT staff, sharing my knowledge and allowing them to take over the day-to-day running of systems that I install. MayaDesign / Animation Maya has worked with Turtlez as a animator for some time now. She is exceptional at producing high quality animation and character designs to client specifications. She has worked on projects from "Bobble the Little Blue Owl" to the BBCs "Holly Headlines". PrashDesign / Animation Prash is an ex-Cosgrove Hall (remember Danger Mouse) animator who has worked with Turtlez for a number of years, developing characters and producing animations mainly for Turtlez Desktop Alerts and Desktop Character products. Characters including "Desktop Sven", and "Miss Cool". |
